A common person often mentions toxic substances. This indicates his level of perturbness as these substances, especially those that are manmade are found in and around including plants, animals, food, beverages, agricultural and horticultural products, medicines and various types of industrial products. There seems to be the urgent need of understanding the basic principles that will help a common person to handle these substances, as day by day these toxicants are becoming more effectively dangerous as compared to the natural poisons from animals and plants. These basic principles are from chemistry, physics, botany, zoology, microbiology, geography, sociology, ethnology, politics, environmental sciences etc.
Currently, toxicology is one of the most discussed topics globally including media, politics NGOS etc. It has found its most deserving place in the curricula of the universities.
In this presentation, an effort is made to elucidate the different aspects, which are directly or indirectly are linked with toxicology. Apart from student community, those who are keen to understand the complexity of toxicology may find it useful and interesting effort.
